About Nadia Katz

I discovered Pilates over ten years ago while searching for a way to manage my low back pain. I had tried everything from physiotherapy to acupuncture but nothing came close to giving me the consistent and lasting pain relief that I got from Pilates. My devotion to the Pilates method led me to train as a teacher, so I could share the benefits with others.

I work in a personalised way to help clients achieve their specific goals and needs, whatever their current ability or experience. Whether it is athletes wanting to increase their performance, those recovering from injuries or spinal surgery who want to strengthen and prevent re-injury, new mums who want to tone their tummies and lift their children without pain, desk-bound office workers who want to improve their posture and reduce stress, or those who want to age gracefully and perform their everyday tasks easily.

My experience of closely working with physiotherapists and osteopaths, in addition to my own history of back pain, has greatly influenced my teaching approach with clients experiencing pain. I am trained and experienced in working with a wide range of conditions, such as back pain, osteoporosis, arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and scoliosis. My clients are aged from 17 to 86 and include both athletes and office workers, at a range of abilities and levels. My aim is to draw the maximum potential out of every individual, through safe and effective movement.

I am a member of the Body Control Pilates Association (BCPA) and hold an advanced Level 3 qualification in Pilates Matwork on the Register of Exercise Professionals. I am fully certified to teach to an advanced level on all Pilates studio equipment, including Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel and Spine Corrector. I am also qualified in both pre and postnatal Pilates.

“Nadia instantly impresses with her complete engagement with her students, her meticulous approach to correct technique and her lovely use of imagery. I wholeheartedly recommend her to clients who feel vulnerable – they are in great hands.” Andrea, Osteopath
